7 REASONS CROSSFITTERS CAN’T STOP TALKING ABOUT CROSSFIT

If you know someone who is into CrossFit training, I’m sure you’re probably sick of hearing about it! However, it might make more sense to you after you know the 7 reasons why CrossFitters can’t stop talking about CrossFit.

1 – CROSSFIT IS FUN AND HEALTHY!

We train in a way that actually improves our physical fitness while having fun! Have you ever heard the term “infinite scalability?” We all do the same workout at the same time but with different loads, reps, and rest as needed (and designated by the coach). #community anyone?

2 – CROSSFIT IS ALL SCIENCY AND STUFF.

I’m one of those guys that wants to know how everything works. I want to maintain my own mountain bikes, so I like to know how they work and how to make them faster. CrossFit is teaching you how to maintain your own body. Not only will you learn about CrossFit exercises and getting intense but also, you will get the nuts and bolts of the science behind CrossFit – nutrition, anatomy, and physiology. It’s great!

 

3 – CROSSFIT PREPARES YOU FOR LIFE

Our CrossFit workouts are almost never the same. We teach these safe, strong movement patterns with a variety of training modalities that increase our fitness relative to our own personal potential. CrossFit exercises are fundamentally safe and effective, allowing people to move large loads long distances. These movements and high intensity workouts are perfect for military, firefighters, police, and others who don’t know what life is going to throw at them. While your life might not be as exciting as a firefighter’s, life has a funny way of throwing some curveballs and CrossFit workouts will have you ready for that next time you have to change a flat tire or move a heavy couch.

 

4 – CROSSFIT FEEDS YOUR INNER DESIRE TO GET STUFF DONE

There is a large amount of satisfaction that comes from accomplishing your goals in the gym. While many of our athletes make progress towards their goals regularly, it’s always exciting when you or your training buddy do something that you’ve never been able to do before like a pull-up or a handstand.

 

5 – CROSSFIT IS OBSERVABLE, MEASURABLE, AND REPEATABLE

Sometimes, we get a chance to do a CrossFit workout that we have done before, giving us an opportunity to compete against ourselves. There is an competitive element in CrossFit but remember, you should be competing mostly with yourself and your old times even though it can be fun to compete with your buddy in the gym or the famous people on the internet too. We have these benchmark CrossFit workouts with women’s names like Fran, Cindy, and Angie. We also have Hero WODs named after members of the community that made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of another human’s safety and/or freedom. The benchmarks leave you wasted on the floor begging to come back for more. Similarly, the spirit of Hero WODs push you mentally farther than you ever thought possible. All of these CrossFit workouts pop up over time and we can directly compare our times, weights, and reps to our last attempt and actually MEASURE progress with data.

 

6 – CROSSFITTERS LIVE LONGER AND BETTER

Most of all,CrossFitters keep talking about their CrossFit gym because we want our friends and family to join us in all the fun and health benefits that we love. Everyone wants to live a long, healthy, productive life and we know CrossFit training is the best way to do it. Go check out your local affiliate and see what it’s like.
