The MAAC and Execution Games Are in the Books!

It's been a busy April for our athletes!  On March 7 and 8, we had two teams compete in the Mid Atlantic Affiliate Challenge (MAAC) at Meadowbrook Athletic Complex.  The MAAC is a two day competition that brings out the best athletes in the Mid-Atlantic region for 5 grueling workouts.  Emilee, Shayne, Sarah, and Adam competed in the RX division.  While Kristina, Tracey, Gianni, and Tim competed in the scaled division.   Both our teams did an amazing job against tough competition throughout teh weekend.  Our scaled team even came in 1st in WOD 5- performing better than all other scaled teams in that workout.  As usual, the teams had a full cheering squad with so many members of theCFCM family coming out to support.

The very next weekend, we had six athletes compete at Execution Games, hosted by CrossFit Execution in Owings Mills, MD.  The competition was one day event, made up of two eprson teams,  Leeza and Tori, Coach Kim and Jacque, Coach Mike and Gianni, were all fired up to compete.  This was Tori's first competition and she did great-PRing her clean and jerk in WOD 1.  Leeza also got a PR snatch at 140 pounds in WOD1.    All three teams battled all day through workouts heavy on squatting.  The women's teams finished the day together-tied for 6th place.  One spot out of the finals.  Coach Mike and Gianni, made the finals in a strong 2nd place after the first three workouts.  They came in 2nd in the final workout and finished 2nd overall.  As always we had a loud and encouraging squad of supporters who made the trip to cheer on our athletes.  Our family support is simply amazing!

We are excited to keep going out there to compete-learning new things and testing our fitness.  After a busy April, we are on to the next!
