Growing up I was never one who liked to work out. I was the kid that was outside mountain or road biking, climbing in the rock gym, or playing golf or Ultimate (it is a sport, I promise)...the idea of throwing weights over my head in fancy ways just never appealed to me.
After graduating college, I was struggling with getting into a consistent work out routine. Everything I tried I either could not maintain throughout the entire year (it gets very cold outside in the dead of winter) or find a program that held my interest, there is just too many options to sort through! Then one day, I saw the CrossFit games on TV and thought, I want to do that, that stuff looks awesome! So after I battled through an elbow injury, I walked into my local CrossFit box and instantly fell in love with it.
I immediately felt that CrossFit is all about community and helping everyone progress to achieve their goals, no matter what they are. I also truly believed in the programming ideals and after realizing the results first hand, I was hooked!
I eventually turned to coaching because I had such a life changing experience with this sport that I wanted to share it with everyone. I am truly passionate about health and fitness and want to do anything I can to help any client progress towards a healthier life.
