When I went to high school, I basically stopped all athletics except for golf, until I was 25. A friend of mine introduced me to squatting, deadlifting, and pressing through the book “Starting Strength” and I found a way to get in shape. My sister introduced me to CrossFit when I was 28, and I was amazed by what she and other athletes could do. I had to try it for myself. After graduating from Globo-gym self-taught CrossFit workouts in 2014, I slowly realized I could do more with my skills than just exercise. I obtained my Level 1 certification in 2016 and my life as a trainer began.

I work a day job as an engineer, so I’m not going to be a competitive CrossFit athlete myself anytime soon. I do devote much of my free time to CrossFit: coaching, programming, continuing education, or working on my own abilities. I met my wife and many great friends over the years through CrossFit! We have a wonderful community here at CFCM.
