CROSSFIT WOMEN'S PROGRAM
The Women’s Program is a female coached, all-female, strength and conditioning program that focuses on building strength, proper body mechanics, and heavy doses of conditioning work. The community of female athletes who frequent these classes is really fun and supportive. All-star trainer Ali Brill leads the program and designs all the workouts, you can read more about her here.
A typical class involves a 10 minute warm up, some strength training (squats, etc.) or some technique work (proper push-ups, core stabilization, etc), followed by a conditioning workout that lasts from 15-30 minutes. The ladies usually wrap up with some fun core exercises, stretching, or accessory strength training.
You do not need to be in shape to start training with the ladies! Everything will be adjusted to suit the individual and make sure that they have a great workout. Also, don’t make the mistake of thinking that these classes are “too easy” – every day is a tough training day and the Women’s Program workouts are frequently longer and harder than some of the CrossFit workouts at CrossFit Critical Mass.
